Howard's Team SoCal Rolled Down MS at their MS Champs and Donut Ride

Howard’s Team SoCal rolled down MS at their 2024 MS Champs and Donut Ride. Since the 2021 Bike MS: Bay to Bay Tour, this ride has become a team tradition. The team rides around 30 miles and stops at three of the most iconic donut shops in San Diego: VG Donuts & Bakery, Super Donuts & Leucadia Donut Shoppe.

We had a special start to the ride with Howard’s Team MS Champions, Karen Matingou, Brenda Esposito, and Tim Salmon presenting Melinda Thrasher with her “I am an MS Champion” Jersey.

During the team’s third stop at Leucadia Donut Shoppe, Scott Cooper and Jay McCabe had a small world experience. One of the other diners said he recognized the Gray logo on the team’s jersey since his son was interning with Gray Construction in Kentucky. His son is Zach Luke. Zach participated with Howard’s Team Kentucky at Bike MS: Bluegrass and Bourbon. Wow! What a small world.

The ride concluded on high note with the team enjoying pizza and beer from Pizza Port in Solana Beach and meeting another potential MS Champion addition to the team, Susie Bradley. Overall, it was a fantastic day!
