Howard’s Team – Honored at MS Auction – Video and Pictures

In November 2020, the MS Society announced that Howard’s Team would be honored with the Hope Award at the 2021 MS Auction.  The award is given to an individual or group making a meaningful impact in creating a world free of MS.  The MS Society held the 2021 MS Auction the Saturday before Thanksgiving, and it was a tremendous evening.

Jim Ponder kicked off the awards providing a wonderful introduction and sharing some of his memorable moments with Howard’s Team.

This was followed by a tribute video featuring several Howard’s Team members, in addition to my wife and kids, and Bob’s wife.  Bob and I were both completely surprised.  It’s something we will always treasure.

Then Bob and I, along with Howard Gray’s children (Keturah, Rebekah, Mary Bruce, and Carl), accepted the award on Howard’s behalf.

To kick off the live auction and paddle raise, Howard Gray gave an energetic call to action by video, followed by Rob Evans, Howard’s Team MS Champion, sharing his perspective on his journey with MS.

In short, it was an incredibly inspiring evening.  If you were not able to attend, you can watch the video and see the pictures at the links below.
