Howard’s Team rolls down MS at the 2023 Bike MS: Oregon

Howard’s Team, represented by the Kunkler Family, rolled down MS at the 2023 Bike MS: Oregon.

The Kunkler family originally got involved in Howard’s Team in 2011 largely by chance.  Jay McCabe, Howard’s Team National Team Captain, was doing his day job as a commercial banker and cold called Andy Kunkler, who was the CFO of a food products company.  The two met for lunch, and after the discovery of a shared interest in cycling, Andy mentioned that his mother has MS.  Later that year, the entire Kunkler family joined Howard’s Team, including Karen Kunkler (Andy’s mom) as an MS Champion.

In 2013 the Kunkler’s moved back to Oregon where they’ve led the team’s efforts there.  They’ve participated in multiple Bike MS: Oregon rides over the years, involving their entire family.  Because of their efforts, in 2017 Andy, and his wife Stephanie, received the team’s Most Courageous Rider Jersey.
